Journey of the Naval Ship Mivtach Around Africa - Comics Booklet - 1957 - By: Yaron Livai. Published by ”Mivtach”, 1957. A cartoon booklet documenting the voyage of the Navy ship around Africa in late 1956. The illustrations depict a kind of humorous travel journal in which daily life on the ship, living conditions, and impressions from various places the ship visited in Africa are described. The cover of the booklet shows a sailor with the caption ”Home! When?” and the next page has a drawn map of Africa. The booklet is based on illustrations that were probably made during the voyage. The cover reads: ”This booklet was duplicated between shifts by Eliezer Herzberg.” On the second page: dedication and signature of the author Yaron Livai. Hebrew, 25X20 cm. Fair-poor condition: many rust stains, tears and gaps at the edges of the pages, the spine has a  masking tape repair.
