Rare: Michael Powell - A Personal Diary of a Journey Through Israel - Signed Copy - A Personal Diary of a Journey Through Israel: May-June 1953.  London: Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger Productions.  Michael Powell (1905-1990) was an English director who was also known for his partnership with screenwriter Emeric Pressburger. This booklet was published through their joint production company, and describes their visit to Israel following an invitation from Weizmann Institute Chairman Meyer Weisgal. The journal is stenciled and accompanied by illustrations. The first page has Powell's dedication and signature. A very rare booklet, we have not found documentation of it anywhere else. English, 94 single-sided pages, 26X21 cm. Fair condition: tears to the cover; rust spots; holes and tears in the title page.
