Issachar Ber Ryback - The Shtetl - Facsimile - Published by the Friends of the Ryback Museum, Bat Yam, 1974. Numbered copy 42/50. Facsimile of the album released originaly in Berlin in 1923 and considered the pinnacle of Ryback's work. 29 reproductions of lithographs (including the cover image). Riback documented the Jewish town after a wave of pogroms in one of which his father was murdered. Includes images of Jewish portraits, scenes from the town, craftsmen and more. Ryback (1897-1935) was a Russian-born painter and graphic artist, one of the most prominent of the Jewish-Russian avant-garde painters.  Hebrew and English, 35X25 cm. Good overall condition, light wear to cover.
