Letter from Menachem Ussishkin - On Behalf of the Jewish National Fund - 1939 - Printed on Keren Kayemet LeIsrael (JNF) paper, Jerusalem. Dated October 9, 1939. Addressed to the ”Community Conference on behalf of Keren Hayesod”, Tel Aviv. In the letter, Ussishkin sends the JNF's blessing to the conference and wishes ”that you will succeed in instilling in the entire community the recognition of the importance of the great roles assigned to Keren Hayesod in this time of emergency.” Among the most important roles, according to Ussishkin, is ”expanding the areas of Hebrew agricultural settlement in our country by creating new communities [...]” Signed by Ussishkin. Good-fair condition: stains, tears in the margins.
