Wilhelm's Natural History - 5 Volumes with 282 Botanical Engravings - These five volumes with 282 originally hand-colored botanical engravings is from Gottlied Tobias Wilhelm's Unterhaltungen aus der Naturgeschichte or Natural History . The volumes were published in Augsburg by Engelbrecht between 1810 and 1821. The volumes are bound in leather with marbled boards and include complete text. The engravings were completed by Paul Martin Wilhelm, brother of the author, and others. Wilhelm's work was a fine example of the encyclopaedic science of the period. The work's main goal was education, thus it's compact publication.
