Babcock's The Turtles of New England - Volume with 16 Plates - This fine volume with 16 plates is Harold L. Babcock's The Turtles of New England . The work was published in Boston by the Society of Natural History in 1919. This is volume 8, number 3 bound in modern blue cloth with untrimmed edges. It features 14 color-printed heliotype plates by R. Deckert and 2 plain lithographed plates. The work was limited to only a few hundred copies on a grant from the Gurdon Saltonstall Fund.
