6 Original Watercolors of Shore Birds (Spoonbill, Crane, Stork, Egret) - Included in this lot: Eurasian Spoonbill [Platalea leucorodia] Black-crowned Crane [Balearica pavonina] Demoiselle Crane [Grus virgo] Common Crane [Grus cinerea] White Stork & Black Stork [Ciconia alba, Ciconia nigra] Little Egret [Herodias garcella] Description of the work: This lovely original watercolor was done in Denmark between 1890 and 1893. The manuscript was authored and illustrated by by J. P. Nyborg. The watercolors were originally bound with hand-written titles dated and with his name (photocopy provided). The detailed illustrations were accompanied with notes on the animal and their surroundings (included when possible). Nyborg's manuscript described birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
