Millais's British Game Birds - Volume with 18 Color Plates & 17 Photogravures
This first edition work is J. G. Millais's The Natural History of British Game Birds. The work was published in London in 1909 by Longmans, Green, and Co. This is one of 550 copies.
The volume is bound in original burgundy cloth gilt. The volume includes the frontispiece, 18 color plates, and 17 photogravures. The color plates are by Archibald Thorburn and J. G. Millais.
Provenance: Bookplates of J. E. Wightman and M. H. Cockell
Paper Size: ~ 12" by 16 1/4"
Paper Type or Special Features: Volume with 18 Color Plates & 17 Photogravures
The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There is some light dampstaining to some pages and plates. The spine is lightly faded. There is some staining to the upper board. There may be a few minor imperfections to be expected with age, but this work is generally very clean. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
