This first edition, four volume work is Henry Seebohm's A History of British Birds. The work was published in London by R. H. Porter in 1883.

The volumes are bound in original brown cloth publisher binding with gold gilt lettering. The work is uncollated, but believed complete with 68 chromolithographs and 99 in text illustrations.
