Minok Paiute Twined Basket Circa 1910 - Native American Paiute are experts at making twine baskets and are well known for their utilitarian style and were often made using coiling and open work techniques. Their basketry was made of dogbane, sedge Willow and other native plants. Their traditional designs seem to be horizontal and vertical geometric motifs of a single color on light background as you see here in the striking design displayed on this basket. Height 5 7/8” 32 1/4 ” circumference 6 1/4” opening.
