18th century carafe set with silver - 18th century silver decanter set, French, Paris 1783-1789. Oval silver base richly decorated with a border with floral work, 4 ball feet with spindle decoration, curled handles with twisted work, and the top with engraving of garlands and bows. On the base are 2 openwork holders with trembled decoration holding 2 crystal decanters, one with a crack. The silver handle has a square foot and an engraved column, crowned with a chalice. Two chains are attached to the handle, which are connected to the silver stoppers of the decanters. 28x16x27cm. Total approx. 1355 grams. In good condition.
