Two Griswold American Cast Iron Stove Pipe Flue Dampers - This lot features two antique cast iron stove pipe flue dampers manufactured by Griswold. Both items are constructed with a circular cast iron plate and a steel spindle mechanism featuring a coiled wire handle. One damper is embossed with the text REVERSIBLE, PATD JULY 20 1915, PAT. NO. 1097109, and STEEL SPINDLE. The second damper is embossed with GRISWOLD, ERIE PA., U. S. A., AMERICAN, and 7 IN. These tools were designed to be installed within a stovepipe to regulate the draft of a wood or coal-burning stove. Diameter: 7 inches (indicated on one unit).
