Western Electric Portable Field Telephone - A vintage Western Electric portable field telephone housed in a multi-tiered wooden case. The case is constructed with box-jointed corners reinforced with metal plates and features a top-mounted metal carrying handle. A metal magneto hand crank is mounted to the side of the case. A worn rectangular label on the front contains partial text reading Western Ele and IN U.S. The interior compartment contains a metal-bodied telephone handset with a black cloth-wrapped cord and associated internal wiring and components.
