Two Indian Enamel and Brass Elephant Claw Bells with Bases - A pair of vintage Indian brass bells of varying sizes, commonly referred to as elephant claw bells. Each bell is comprised of two primary components: a decorative domed cover with a flat circular top finial and a flared base unit that houses an internal slatted metal gong mechanism. The exterior surfaces are decorated with intricate etched floral and foliate designs featuring colorful enamel inlay. The larger bell displays a palette of green, red, and yellow enamel, while the smaller bell features blue and red enamel accents. Both examples demonstrate the characteristic spherical, slatted construction of the interior bell hidden beneath the decorative lift-off covers. No maker's marks, signatures, or country of origin stamps are visible on either item.
