2 Fenton Yellow Opalescent Vaseline Art Glass - Attributed to Fenton, these two yellow opalescent art glass items are composed of uranium-content glass, commonly referred to as Vaseline glass, which displays a bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. The group includes a basket and a vase. The basket features a molded hobnail pattern on the lower exterior, a wide opalescent ruffled rim, and an applied colorless glass handle. The vase is designed with a tiered bulbous base and a matching broad, opalescent ruffled rim. These items are characteristic of mid-20th-century American art glass production. No manufacturer marks are visible on either object.
