W.C. Kelly Perfect True Temper Double Bit Axe - This vintage American double-bit axe features a forged steel head in the Kelly Perfect pattern, characterized by embossed vertical ribs on the cheeks. The head is stamped on one side with W.C. KELLY PERFECT, CHARLESTON, W.VA. U.S.A., REG. U.S. PAT. OFF., and patent number 210847. The reverse cheek is stamped TRUE TEMPER. The axe is mounted on a straight wooden handle with a slight swell at the grip end. A handwritten identification tag is attached to the piece, noting the markings on the head.
