Antique Westinghouse Electric Brass Blade Oscillating Desk Fan - This antique Westinghouse Electric desk fan features a four-blade brass configuration and a black-painted cast iron base with an oscillating motor housing. The protective steel cage is constructed with a series of S-curve wires. A central brass hub cap is embossed with the Westinghouse W logo and the text Westinghouse Electric. A brass manufacturer identification plate is affixed to the motor housing and identifies the maker as Westinghouse Electric & Mfg. Co. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The plate identifies the unit as an Alternating Current Motor for 100-120 Volts and 60 Cycles. Stamped information on the plate includes style number 164851 G, serial number 1483701, and several patent dates from 1910 through 1917.
