WESTMORELAND MILK GLASS HON - This white milk glass covered dish is a hen on nest design attributed to Westmoreland. The item consists of two pieces of opaque white milk glass. The lid is molded in the shape of a seated hen with detailed feathering on the body and wings. The comb and eyes are finished with cold-painted red accents. The base is an oval bowl featuring a molded basket-weave pattern on the exterior and a beaded rim. The underside of the base displays a molded, raised cross-shaped mark in the center.
