L.E. Smith Amber Glass Hen on Nest Covered Dish - A vintage two-piece pressed glass covered dish in the form of a nesting hen atop an oval basket base. The piece is fashioned from transparent amber-colored glass. The lid is a figural representation of a hen with molded feather details on the body and tail, a prominent comb, and a defined beak. The base features a textured basketweave or diamond-quilted pattern on the exterior with a scalloped, wavy rim designed to secure the lid. The interior of the base retains a circular black and gold foil label with the characters HAND at the top, Smith in a large cursive script, and CRAFTED in block letters at the bottom, identifying the item as a product of the L.E.
