Hazel Atlas Early Hen on Nest - A two-piece covered dish manufactured by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. The set is constructed from opaque white milk glass. The lid is molded in the form of a nesting hen with detailed textured feathering and features cold-painted red accents on the comb, wattle, and eyes. The base, representing the nest, is decorated with an embossed basketweave pattern on the exterior. The underside of the base features an embossed maker mark consisting of a capital letter H nested inside a larger capital letter A.
