MOSSER X ROSSO MINI TEAL HON - Attributed to Mosser Glass, this miniature two-piece covered dish features a traditional hen on nest motif. The item is crafted from opaque white glass, commonly known as milk glass, with a surface-applied teal blue-green color. The lid is molded into the form of a hen with a textured feather pattern, featuring hand-painted accents including a red comb, yellow beak, and black eyes. The base is designed with a scalloped upper rim and a reeded, ribbed exterior body. The teal finish is applied to the exterior of the lid and the upper rim of the base, while the interior and the underside of the base remain the natural opaque white glass. The base features a molded oval foot. This style of novelty glassware is characteristic of mid-20th-century American glass production.
