The glass canister is formed with a square body, rounded shoulders, and a wide mouth. It includes a turned wooden lid with a dark stain and a central knob, fitted with a black sealing gasket. This style of storage jar was produced by various American manufacturers in the mid-20th century, often attributed to Anchor Hocking or Dolphin Glass. The stoneware crock is a cylindrical form with a simple, slightly rolled rim, finished in a dark brown glaze often referred to as an Albany slip.
