Marx Little Orphan Annie Lithographed Tin Toy Stove - Attributed to Louis Marx and Company, this vintage toy kitchen stove is themed after the Little Orphan Annie comic strip. The piece is constructed from lithographed and painted pressed steel. It features a two-tone color palette with a cream-colored stovetop and a green body and backsplash. The stovetop is designed with three circular arrangements of perforations representing burner areas. The high backsplash features two lithographed panels; the left panel includes the stylized red and yellow text Little Orphan Annie and depicts the characters Annie and Sandy. The right panel displays a similar illustration of the characters. The front of the stove has an oven door on the left side featuring a matching character graphic. To the right is a large open compartment. The unit is held together by metal tab construction typical of the early to mid-20th century.
