T he Admor- Rav Menachem Mendel of Vishive (5645-5701) was renowned from a young age as a gadol and received semicha from the Maharsham. He became the Av Beis Din in Visheve in 5681 and in his three-hour-long discourse, he 'strolled through the Bavli and Yerushalmi with the familiarity of one who is strolling through his own home'.
