Rare Collection. 25 ”Knesses Yisrael” Torah Magazines- Slabodka 5698-5700 [1938-1940] Monthly magazine dedicated to Torah and mussar, published by Yeshivas Knesses Yisrael, Slabodka. The magazine was initiated by a special gathering which took place in Tishrei, 5697 for all students in Yeshivas Knesses Yisrael, in the home of Rav Avraham Grodzinsky in Slabodka. During this gathering it was decided to publish a monthly magazine which would give a platform for the yeshiva students to present their chiddushim and to express their views regarding the spiritual challenges of the time. Knesses Yisrael magazine existed from Shvat 5698- Sivan 5700. In the present collection there are 25 magazines, from Sivan 5698- Sivan 5700. 2 magazines are lacking a few pages. Some of the famous Rabbonim who contributed to the magazine: Discourses of the Saba Mislabodka, the Divrei Yechezkel, the Mekor Baruch, Rav Isaac Sher, Rav Avraham Grodzinsky, Rav Isser Zalman Meltzer, Rav Yechezkel Abramsky and Rav Shach while serving as Rosh Mesivta in Luninets. Without question, this is a very rare and almost fully complete collection.  [Otzar Kisvei Et Toraniyim, page 134. A.B.C. There it is written that the last magazine was printed in Iyar 5700. However, in the present collection there is a magazine from Sivan 5700 as well.]
