Gur. Handwritten Letter by Rav Menachem Mendel Alter of Pabianice, Son of the Sfas Emes, and Letter from His Father-In-Law.   Letter handwritten by Rav Menachem Mendel Alter, Av Beis Din of Pabianice, to one of his sons. In the letter, his brother- the Imrey Emes is mentioned. Rav Menachem Mendel Alter of Pabianice, Hashem Yikom Damo (5637-5702) was the youngest son of the Sfas Emes and the son-in-law of the Chessed Le'Avraham, who was the son of the Tiferes Shlomo. One of Poland's great Rabbonim, he served as AB”D of Pabianice and Kalisz. He was a member of the 'Mo'etzes Gedoley HaTorah' and chairman of ”Agudas Rabbanei Polin”. Included is a letter from Rav Chaim Eliezer HaLevi Ish Horowitz, son-in-law of the Rav of Pabianice to his abovementioned brother-in-law and in the margins is a letter from his wife, Rebbetzin Rivka. The letters are written on the official stationery of Rav Menachem Mendel. Size: 13x21 cm.
