Letter of Torah Novellae by Rav Shlomo Zalman Orbach Letter of Chiddushei Torah, handwritten and signed by Rav Shlomo Zalman Orbach- answering a question on the Chassam Sofer. The letter was sent to Rav Yissachar Dov Goldstein, author of Likutei He'aros on the Chassam Sofer's responsa. Rav Shlomo Zalman Orbach (5670-5755) was one of the greatest Poskim of the past generation. He dealt in great depth with the mitzvos pertaining to Eretz Yisrael, medical related halachos, hilchos Shabbos and halachos regarding the new technological advancements of the time.
