Sefer Meon HaBerachot. Novellae on Tractate Berachot, by Rabbi Yisrael Yonah Landau, av”d Kempen. Dyhernfurth, 1816.
Rabbi Yisroel Yonah Landau first served as Rabbi of Luboml and in 1786 he moved to Kempen, where he served until his death. The author was blind so couldn’t arrange his book. Therefore, his son, Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Segal Landau arranged it for printing. This is the only work he printed during his life. But many other works that he wrote were printed posthumously.
In this book, the author refers to the opinion of his uncle, the Noda B’Yehudah, opposing the recital of the Leshem Yichud, but he justifies the custom.
