Important Work on "Klalei HaTalmud." Shearit Yosef. Mantua [1593]
Sefer Shearit Yosef – collection of basic rules for studying the Mishnah and Talmud that weren’t printed in
Halichot Olam or
Sefer Keritut, authored by Rabbi Yosef Ibn Verga.
The author was a Spanish exile, a disciple of Rabbi Yosef Taitazak, who held halachic give and takes with the Radbaz. The book was first printed in Adrianople, 1554 (and is extremely uncommon), an index was added to end of this edition.
