Manuscript. Chidushim Al Hatorah and the customs of ritual slaughter. Morocco, 19th century.
“I will start writing the customs of ritual slaughter and treifut with the help of “Shochen Aravot” [Hashem].”
The manuscript concludes: “These are the customs that are followed in the honored city Marrakesh, Yair ben Shalom….”
The second half of the manuscript features a lengthy homily for the deceased from the
Sefer HaRanach, and elucidations on the Torah readings in Genesis.

Size: 17x21 cm.
Worming holes in the gutter, dampstains, the last leaf is slightly damaged with blemish to text, new binding.
