Letter by Rav Fishel Sofer rav”d Budapest. Tchuz, [1908] Letter written and signed by Rav Efraim Fishel Sofer Zussman rav”d Budapest, grandson of Rav Daniel Prostitz; sent to Rav Yosef Leib Sofer av”d Paks. Written during his rabbinate in Tchuz. Rav Mordechai Efraim Fishel Zussman Sofer rav”d Budapest (1867-1942), the son of Rav Binyamin Zev Wolf Zussman Sofer, talmid of the Shevet Sofer and son-in-law of Rav Koppel Reich av”d Budapest. His works include the Ateres Paz on the Torah and the Eileh Masei drashos. Rav Yosef Leib Sofer av”d Derecske and Paks (1861-1918) was the son of Rav Eliezer Zussman Sofer av”d Paks. A talmid of his father, he also studied by the Shevet Sofer and Rav Moshe Halevi Polack, av”d Bonihad. In 1885, he began serving as av”d in Derecske. In 1903, he took over his father's position in Paks. He was known for his works: The two volume Likutei Sofer on the mitzvos, and the five volume Yalkut Sofer on the Torah. Tchuz, 1908. 29 cm.
