17th century. Shu”t Mahar”il: Hanau [1610] Responsa by Rabbeinu Yaakov Moelin Segal - the Maharil, prominent Ashkenazic Gadol and leader. The Maharil (Mainz 1365 - Worms 1427) was a prominent Ashkenaz sage who helped form its unique derech. The Sefer Minhagei Mahril and the responsa he sent throughout Europe are basic sources for the halachah and hanhagah of Ashkenaz Jewry. Nice title page with illustration of Akeidas Yitzchak, Moshe and Ahron and other decorations and characters.
