Letter to Rav Matisyahu Zev Stiegel with a request from Rav Zalman Sorotzkin of Lutzk Letter appealing to Rav Matisyahu Zev Stiegel, Rosh Yeshivah Novardok, for help procuring an aliya ”certificate” for a yeshivah bachur in danger of being drafted. In the margins of the letter, Rav Zalman Sorotzkin of Lutzk a dded handwritten sentences and his signature , asking that the request be fulfilled. Rav Zalman Sorotzkin, the Lutzker Rav (1880-1966) was a prominent Lithuanian Rav before the Holocaust. He was the chairman of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisrael and Chinuch Atzmai and was actively involved in many orthodox institutions. He wrote the Oznayim L'Torah .
