Personal copy of the holy brothers, the sons of the first Admor of Sadigura - Rav Yitzchak of Boyan and Rav Yisrael of Sadigura. The title page bears the royal stamp of Rav Yisrael of Sadigura, author of Ohr Yisrael, and Rav Yitzchak of Boyan, author of Pachad Yitzchak, sons of Rav Avraham Yitzchak of Sadigura. Image of a crouching lion at center of the stamp - the emblem of the monarchy of Yehudah, to whom the Ruzhiners attribute their lineage. Pencil notation: אפרים שלמה בן שרה מרוזין The leaf before the title page features a lengthy handwritten poem about the work and its author, from 1836, birth notations in the same hand, on the back flyleaf from 1820 and 1822. The list of presubscribers includes the name of Rav Akiva Eiger Rav Yitzchak of Boyan (1850-1917) was born in the home of his grandfather, Rav Yisrael of Ruzhin. He was known for his yiras Shamayim and deep dveikus, which awed and inspired those around him, and earned him the sobriquet ”The Pachad Yitzchak.” In 1887, he settled in Boyan and established a magnificent dynasty. He fled to Vilna when World War I broke out, where he served as senior Admor of the Ruzhin dynasty. He passed away in 1917 and was buried in the city. Rav Yisrael of Sadigura (1852-1907) was a Torah genius and very wise. Many stories are told about his kedushah. His father testified that he had the neshamah of Rav Levi Yitzchak of Berditchov. After his father passed away, he served as Admor in Sadigura. He had thousands of followers and his Torah is recorded in his Ohr Yisrael. ***** Frankfurt on the Oder, 1788. [7], 3-94 leaves. 32 cm.
