The personal copy of the Kehillos Yaakov (by the Steipler) of Rav Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz, with glosses in his hand Volume with five sections of the Kehillos Yaakov by Rabbeinu Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky - the brother-in-law of the Chazon Ish and father of Maran Sar HaTorah, Rav Chaim Kanievsky. Personal copy of Gadol HaDor Rav Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz. His signature appears at the start of three sections (some cropped), dated Zichron Meir, 1942. A number of glosses in his hand. Rav Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz (Volozhin 1914-Bnei Brak 2011) was one of the most prominent leaders of the Torah world in the last generation. As rosh yeshivah of Ponevezh L'Tzeirim, he taught Torah to talmidim for about seventy years, including 60 years in Ponevezh. Thousands of people from throughout the world visited him to ask for his advice and brachos. He stood strong to guard pure chinuch and helped formulate the conservative, mesorah- character of the Torah world. All the sections are first editions: Section 1: Yerushalayim [1936].
