Pocket-sized, Elegant Tanach. Amsterdam [1700-1705]. Chamisha Chumshei Torah, Megillos, Neviim and Kesuvim, with chart of haftarot, per the customs of various communities. Tanach intended for travel, pocket-sized, only 13.2 cm.! Very thin paper was used for this Tanach, so that all sections, 625 leaves (!), could be bound in one volume. Two title pages; the second, illustrated and pretty. On the back of the illustrated title page: Signature of Rav David Nunes Torres, the publisher, testifying that he sold the volume. ***** Amsterdam [1700-1705] Torah: [1], 126, 125-181 leaves. Neviim Rishonim: 142 leaves Neviim Achronim: [143]-286, [1] leaves. Kesuvim: 152, [1] leaves. Some copies have an additional [1] leaves of approbations at the conclusion. Size: 13.2 cm.
