Ohr HaMeir by Rav Zev Wolf of Zhitomir - Korzec, after [1798] Ohr HaMeir - Sweet commentaries and allusions in a chassidic manner on the Chamisha Chumshei Torah, five megillos and draדhos for the yomim tovim. Authored by Rav Zev Wolf of Zhitomir, prominent talmid of the Maggid of Mezritsch, about whom Rav Levi Yitzchk of Berditchov testified, ”All his words were said with ruach hakodesh” (in his approbation on the back of the title page). This famed book is one of the most prominent chassidic works and is kept handy for repeated study by tzaddikim. In his drashos, which drew many to avodas Hashem, the author mentions dozens (!) of chiddushim and anecdotes from his Rebbe, the Maggid of Mezritsch, and from the Besht. The work was first printed in Korzec, 1898, but was quickly sold out. This is the second edition that was printed shortly after, in Korzec. A nice title page illustration of a vase with flowers. ****** Korzec, after [1798]. Pagination: [1], 4, [1], 5-260 leaves. 18.5 cm. Quality paper, light green- light blue. A few stains and holes, reinforced gutters. Solitary page titles are cropped. New binding. Fine condition. Stefansky, Chassidus #25.
