Chassidus. Rare! Divrei Avos by the Rebbe of Buczacz, Lemberg 1879. Divrei Avos , elucidation on Mishnayot Pirkei Avos (with text) by Rav Avraham Dovid Warman of Buczacz. The Rebbe of Buczacz, Rav Avraham Dovid Warman [1771-1841] was a leader of Torah, chassidus and halachic psak in his generation. He was in touch with all prominent Rebbes of his time: Rav Levi Yitzchak of Berditchov, Rav Moshe Leib of Sassov, Rav Chaim of Czernowitz and Rav Zvi Hirsch of Nadvorna. When he was only about 20 years old, he was appointed av”d in Jazłowiec. In 1814, he took over his father-in-law, Rav Zvi Hirsch Kara the ”Neta Shashuim, as av”d in Buczacz. He authored many works, including his popular work on the Shulchan Aruch which is quoted thousands of times in later halachic literature. ******** Lemberg, 1879. Rare! [40] leaves. 18.5 cm.
