Hungary. Document written and signed by Rabbi Yosef Moshe Zilberberg, first av”d of Tinnye and the Region, 1870. A document in a foreign language, dated 1870, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yosef Moshe Staupawy Zilberberg. The document bears a red wax seal. Rabbi Yosef Moshe Staupawy Zilberberg (1797-1877) was born in Senitz. His father was Rabbi Efraim Fishel Staupawy, Av Beis Din of Warshauer. In 1833, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Tinnye, a position he held until his passing in 1877. Among his noted disciples was Rabbi Moshe Fürst, author of Mareh Moshe . The Chasam Sofer responded to his halachic inquiries in Orach Chaim, Siman 177, and in Choshen Mishpat, Siman 147. 32.5 cm. Fold marks and light stains. Fine condition.
