Personal copy of Rav Aharon of Chernobyl The blank flyleaf bears notations that this volume belongs to Rav Aharon shlita Twersky of Chernobyl The title page bears an owner notation of Rav R' Zussia Rebbe Aharon Twersky of Chernobyl (1787-1871) was a prominent chassidic leader in his time. He was the oldest son of Rav Mordechai of Chernobyl and grandson of Rav Menachem Nachum, the Meor Einayim. After his father death in 1838, he took over his position as Chernobyl Rebbe and was widely admired by many, including his brothers He served as Nasi Eretz Yisrael in the Ukraine and was involved in administrating the support given to the Yishuv in Eretz Yisrael. His son, Rav Yeshaya Meshulem Zusia Twersky (d. 1881), was the father-in-law of Rav Yissacher Dov of Belz and grandfather of Rav Aharon of Belz.
