17th Century. Very rare. Tevuas Schorr. Lublin, 1615. Glosses. Sefer Tevuas Schorr - Kitzur 'Beis Yosef' by Rav Efraim Zalman Schorr, av”d Lublin. A number of glosses and supplements, and completion of pictures in an antiquated hand, crossed out owner signature. Rav Efraim Zalman Schorr (d.1633) was a prominent Polish talmid chacham, the son-in-law of Minister Shaul Wahl, in the generation of the Bach. He held Torah correspondence with the Pnei Yehoshua, and served as rav in Grodno, Brisk and Lublin. He was the great-uncle of the author of Tevuas Schorr im Simlah Chadash, on the halachos of shechitah and treifos. Lublin, [1615-1616]. Only edition. Section 1: Orech Chaim: [1] 5-143 leaves. Section 2: Yoreh Deah: 176, 77-115, [1] leaf. Section 3: Even HaEzer: 54 leaves. Section 4: Choshen Mishpat: 101 leaves. Missing 9 leaves: The first four leaves (title page for Orech Chaim and leaves 2-4 after it), and the last 5 leaves (leaves 102-105 [1]). The title page of Yoreh Deah is partially torn. It is misbound at the beginning of Orech Chaim, instead of its missing title page. Stains and tears, worming marks, tape on the margins of a few leaves, affecting text. New binding, moderate condition.
