Chiddushei Torah and fragment of a letter written by Rabbi Aharon Dovid Deutsch av”d Yarmut, author of Goren Dovid. * Fragment of a letter in his hand. * 2 leaves of chiddushei Torah (4 pages) * Title page made by his talmid, in order to copy chiddushei Torah of his rebbe, author of the Goren Dovid. Within the remnants of an original binding, with the signature of his talmidim: הק' ליב קוטנר, משה דוד ראזענפעלד, יוסף דאמאן. Rabbi Aharon Dovid Deutsch, av”d Yarmut, author of the Goren Dovid (1813-1878) was one of the most prominent talmidim of the Chasam Sofer, who said that he relies on the prayers of Rabbi Dovid and even said that he is “ready for life in Olam HaBa.” The Ksav Sofer greatly respected him and wore Shabbos Clothes whenever Rabbi Deutsch  visited Pressburg. (HaChasam Sofer V’Talmidav, p. 91) He was also known as a wonderworker. When people from his city visited Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and asked for his brachah, he would tell them, “Why are you coming to me? You can travel to the Gaon, the Tzaddik of Yarmut who lives right near you.” (Refer to Shu”t Goren Dovid, section two, the author’s biography, p. 213). Altogether: 4 leaves and a detached cardboard binding. Poor condition.
