Chassidus. Letter with brachos from the Minchas Elazar of Munkacs Letter with brachos and one line written and signed by Admor Chaim Elazar Spira av”d Munkacs, the Minchas Elazar. The front of the postcard features a letter that was written by the shamash, Rabbi Chaim Dovid Greenfeld (who had also served the Darchei Teshuvah), per the Rebbe's dictation . Rabbi Chaim Elazar Spira av”d Munkacs, the Minchas Elazar (1872-1937) was a leading Hungarian Rebbe before the war. He was the son of the Darchei Teshuvah and a direct descendant of the Bnei Yissacher. He was a genius and well-versed in ”Pardes.” He spent much time with the great tzaddikim of his time. During his father's life, he served as av”d of Munkacs, and then in 1914 he was ordained as the rav of the city and Rebbe. He battled tirelessly to preserve Jewish traditions and refused to allow changes. ******* Munkacs, 1931 Postcard. Fine condition.
