Letter by the Bluzhever Rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Shapira A handwritten and signed letter by the Bluzhever Rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Shapira, addressed to his friend, Rabbi Aharon HaCohen Gutwirth. The Bluzhever Rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Shapira -  was a descendant of the Dinov dynasty. Born in Rzeszów in 1890, he was crowned as Rabbi. He served as Rav in Fracnik and Ustrzyki Dolne (Istrik) and most of his father's chassidim joined him. In 1925 he published his grandfather's sefer: Tzvi LaTzaddik responsa, adding his own notations. He was miraculously saved from the holocaust, stayed for a time in Antwerp and from there moved to the United States where he established a chassidic center. He was one of the heads of the 'Mo'etzes Gedoley HaTorah' and the president of Kollel Galicia. Passed away in 1990. [Encyclopedia Lachassidus, part 2, page 578]. Undated.
