Important approbations from the author’s father-in-law; Rav Avraham Broda; Rav Naftali Katz, author of Semichas Chachamim; Rav Eliyahu Shapira author of Eliyahu Rabbah; Rav Yaakov Reischer author of Shevus Yaakov; Rav Mordechai Ziskind Rothenburg, and others. The title page bears an inscription written and signed by Rav Naftali Hertz Scheuer, Rav in Mainz, to one of his talmidim. Rav Naftali Hertz Scheuer (1753–1823) was a prominent Ashkenazic rav in his generation. He served as Rosh Yeshivah and Rav in Mainz. His works include Turei Zahav and Shekel HaKodesh. He corresponded with the Chasam Sofer, who titles him in his sefer as ”HaGaon Moreinu HaRav Hertz Scheuer.” Wilhermsdorf 1717. [1], 186, [2] leaves. 32 cm.
