Meyuchas. Rare. Chumash owned by Rebbe Eliezer Zev of Rahov Chumash Vayikra-Bamidbar-Devarim, Warsaw, [1862]. Rare edition. The National Library does not have a complete copy. It only has Devarim. The flyleaf bears a personal inscription signed and stamped by Rebbe Eliezer Zev Rosenbaum of Rahov. Rebbe Eliezer Zev of Rahov (1910-1999) was the son of Rav Yitzchak Rosenbaum of Rahov, the son of Rebbe Meir of Kretchnif, the son of Rav Mordche’le of Nadvorna. He was the son-in-law of his cousin, Rebbe Chaim Mordechai of Nadvorna, and brother-in-law of noted wonder-worker, Rebbe Dovid Moshe of Kretchnif. After the Holocaust, he tried immigrating to Eretz Yisrael illegally, but was deported to Cyprus by the British. He learned with great hasmadah in the deportation camp, learning daily from early morning until chatzos. After reaching Eretz Yisrael, he established his court in Ramat Gan. He is buried in the Viznitz cemetery in Bnei Brak. His writings and stamps are very rare. Missing the title page of Vayikra, and the 9 last leaves. Creases and folds on the first leaves. The corners of the last leaves are torn. Detached binding. Moderate condition. 27 cm.
