Sefer Zot Zikaron L’HaChozeh Mi’Lublin: First edition. Torah novellae, pure sayings, holy secrets and words of wisdom from the holy, righteous Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Horowitz of Lublin. The Chozeh himself wrote out his Torah thoughts and he believed the writing process to be very significant. At the start of his novellae, he wrote that he was writing them for Hakadosh Baruch and to make a kiddush Hashem in the world. The works of the Chozeh are fundamental works of chassidut. The Chidushei HaRim even said, “I don’t learn the works of chassidut, because they were written for their specific generation. However, the work of the Chozeh of Lublin was written for all generations and they have the same power as the words of Chazal”. ( Mei’ir Einei Ha’Golah , p. 15). Lemberg, [1851]. First edition.
