A Latin inscription surrounds the portrait: “Effigies uiri doctissimi et clarissimi Jacobi Yehudæ Leonis Hebræi autoris Structuræ templi Salomonici facti anno 1641.” Illustrations of the Beis HaMikdash in the bottom margins.
