Stamps and several short glosses by Rav Chaim Berlin. On leaf 304/1: Stamp of Rav ”Yosef Shmuel … Landau, ” son of Rav Yisrael Yonah Landau, author of Meon HaBerachos. On the final leaf: Handwritten inscription, “I received [this] as a gift from the Gaon … [Rav] Shmuel Yosef Landau.” Several glosses [cropped] in an Italian hand. Rav Binyamin b”r Mattathias (1475–1545), was rav in Arta, Turkey. In his rulings, he addressed the urgent halachic questions that arose in the generation following the expulsion from Spain.
