This copy was gifted by the author’s son, Rav Yitzchak, av beis din and rosh mesivta of Volozhin. The title page bears the notation: “This Nefesh HaChaim, was given by HaRav HaGaon Rav Yitzchak, av beis din of Volozhin, who attended my wedding.” Vilna, 1837. 126 pages. 21.5 cm. Tape to the gutter of the title page, stains on a few pages. Thick, quality paper. Very fine condition.
